A1 Great! Part lies, part heart, part truth, part garbage.

afoot, at hand, etc

It’s easy to tell when I’ve been busy. Attention paid to the ol’ Web Blog decreases, my interaction with fun people wanes. Such is life.

My kid’s schedule totally kicked my ass last week, visits to doctors and therapists and others pretty much non-stop. We have a week off, now, which is fine by me.

In better news, this past Friday was beeyoutifull, and just the excuse I was looking for to drag the bicycle out of the basement and out into the sunshine. Tires were flat, but a quick trip to the neighborhood gas station remedied that situation, and I was free to roam the trails nearby for a little bit. It was a wonderful way to spend the morning, with the tunes pumpin’ courtesy of my new LG 8100 MP3 phone, which is totally bitchin’ and I’ll review it for you here sometime soon. Soundtrack? The Trews, Sarah Harmer and the Hip, of course.

The in-laws are in town for the holiday weekend, and the wife and I were treated to dinner at Maxwell’s on Elgin last night. I was asked for ID by my server when I requested the usual Jack and coke. For those readers who are unfamiliar with my date of birth, I’ll be 29 in just a couple months, so yes, this was a touch ridiculous. I think I made the server feel bad for asking, which is fine – she was new, and several years my junior, as it turns out.

I would have been flattered, to have been thought of as so young, but she was just an idiot. Flattery ain’t worth much from someone like that.

Smoother sailing for the next little while, hopefully.
