ottawa weblogger blues explosion
So I received an e-mail the other day from David of Phoenixrealm fame, looking for folks to attend a Meetup for Ottawa blogger types.
An effort was made a couple years ago to get a Meetup going here, back when Meetups were all the rage. I guess it never got off the ground – I never went to any of the meetings, anyway. I would imagine these things require strong leadership and someone to have a couple topics of conversation to get the ball rolling. Not terribly encouraging that this latest go is being organized by a guy in Vancouver, but I suppose.
And a good venue! The last list of choices were a museum, a vegan restaurant and a bookstore, or something. Alcohol is a requirement, it says here.
My own personal list of preferred attendees would include people whose sites I visit from time to time but have never met, like Tania and Andrew Limmert and Christina and Miss Vicky and Parasol and Mr. Multilinko. And of course friends like Pat and Stuart and Ruban would have to come too, to represent and shit.
No fat chicks, though.

Actually, he lives in Ottawa now, in the west end…he just has not changed his details. I am going to find all the best bloggers in Ottawa and get them to meet up, if its the last thing I do…
