A1 Great! Part lies, part heart, part truth, part garbage.

Alan Cross unearths a treasure trove of forgotten atrocities with his list of the 15 worst Canadian songs of the 90’s. So many horrors – Snow, Love Inc, Bass is Base, Prozzak! And twin teenage terror groups Serial Joe and the Moffatts, whose work is another reminder that children should never be encouraged to sing for an audience.

(I’m not sure a spot for the Crash Test Dummies on this list is deserved, even if “Keep A Lid On Things” was a bit daft. I saw them live in Kingston around the time that that album came out, and it was a pretty great show.)

Fun fact: I owned the “White Lies/Black Truth” cassette single by Slik Toxik. 1992. Summer after grade nine. It was, uh, a different time.
