we’ve got fun and games

Teacher calls police after karaoke scare. “State police say the teacher at Booth Free School barricaded herself inside a classroom Wednesday when she mistook someone singing a Guns N’ Roses song over the public address system for a threat.” I don’t know if I ever spoke on the school PA system, but Welcome To The Jungle karaoke would have been a better way to spend my time than most of the other crap I was doing back then.

    I used the PJ school PA system once; to call from an empty classroom into the classroom Steve was having Geography in. Over the loudspeaker I said “Good afternoon, is Steve Ridge in this class?” just like the office people always said it. The teacher replied that Steve was indeed in the class. I told him to send Steve to the office, and to have him take his books as his father was there to pick him up. I then intercepted Steve on the way to the office and got him to skip off with me for the rest of the afternoon. It was like Mission Impossible meets Saved By The Bell. Only without helicopters or Tiffani Amber Thiessen.
